New Modern Luxury Hotel in :

Discover Bangkok by Traveling on the MRT

One of the many benefits that guests at the Amanta Hotel & Residence Ratchada enjoy is our hotel’s easy access to the MRT. The MRT is Bangkok’s only subway line and conveniently travels to some of the city’s most frequented tourist destinations. Just a few minutes away from our hotel by train, guests can explore multiple areas of the city that deliver the full Bangkok experience.

The Amanta Hotel & Residence Ratchada’s closest station is MRT Thai Cultural Centre. If you are looking for some adventure-filled day trips or want to explore some of the historical parts of the city, there are plenty of great places to go that are also near an MRT station.

Staying at a hotel near an MRT station is a luxury for visitors to Bangkok. With so many things to do near MRT stations, you can travel on the MRT and discover exciting areas of Bangkok with ease.

MRT Chatuchak

If you have read any tourist guides, the name Chatuchak may sound familiar. Chatuchak is home to the legendary Chatuchak market, a massive 35-acre outdoor market with over 15,000 stalls selling everything imaginable. The market is a must-see attraction in Bangkok and is the perfect place to load up on souvenirs, nicknacks, clothing, and pretty much anything else you could want.

But the market is not the only draw of Chatuchak. As you emerge from the MRT station, you’ll find yourself inside Chatuchak park, one of Bangkok’s largest green spaces. The area is actually a few parks gelled into one, making for one large outdoor area that you can spend your whole day exploring.

One popular activity is to rent bicycles in the park and weave around the paths and lakes. There are over 2km of biking paths to cycle around, though it’s very easy to find new routes and areas of the park to visit. Children will love the butterfly garden and the botanical park as well!

MRT Wat Mangkon

Wat Mangkon, which in English means “Dragon Temple”, is the main access point to Bangkok’s famous Chinatown district. Chinatown is centered on Yaowarat Road and is well-known for its incredible and delectable street food and restaurants.

At night, Chinatown comes alive, with dozens of street stalls lining Yaowarat and its side streets offering a smattering of Thai, Chinese, and fusion foods. It’s an authentic Bangkok experience to grab a steaming bowl of noodles and enjoy them on a tiny plastic stool right on the sidewalk.

Walking around Chinatown is a foodie’s heaven, and even if you visit there multiple times during your stay in Bangkok, you’ll always find something new and exciting to eat.

MRT Sam Yot

It is impossible to visit Bangkok and not go and see the famous temples in the Old Town. Fortunately, new MRT stations make visiting this area significantly easier than it once was. From MRT Sam Yot Station, the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun are just a few minutes away.

While these temples are certainly the main draw to visit the Old Town, Bangkokians will tell you that the areas surrounding the temples are just as pleasant to visit. Just a few minutes’ walk from the train station, you’ll enter a very Indian and South Asian part of the city, with inarguably the best South Asian food in all of Bangkok.

Additionally, closer to the temples, there are a few riverside cafes and restaurants that cater to locals, serving up traditional meals and cold drinks on terraces that overlook the Chao Phraya river. Adventurous travelers will enjoy renting bicycles and exploring the Old Town and all its cultural and culinary offerings.

Adventure awaits at nearly every stop on the MRT. While you are staying at Amanta Hotel & Residence Ratchada, take advantage of the MRT and explore Bangkok’s most dynamic areas.
